Hello!Please be sure to check my other auctions! I have many more unusual and experimental models listed this week! This item is a very high quality model kit of the PAN-AM ORION Space Transport from 2001. It is the most detailed production model ever producded of this topic. Please note: Hull parts are cast in white resine and the castings are very clean and sharp. Photos of early production model parts are for reference. As you will see there is a 'moulded in' interior, passenger cabin and flight deck.This scale for the interiors is absolutely correct however the interiors would not fit into the Orion at the size that both Airfix and Aurora made for their Orion kits. Those kits were advertised as 1/144 th scale but they are not. If I remember correctly the old Aurora only measured approx. 11" long. This Orion is 17.5 inches long and works out to be 213 ft long if real at 17.5 inches. Also by coincidence this is very near half the 3 foot (36inch) long studio model size used in the film. You should consider adding your own interior lighting to this one. Advanced builders might want to add lighted engine exhust ports as the engine cowling is hollow cast.
