This auction is for a 2001 Upper Deck autographed Albert Pujols rookie card. This card was originally given to a friend of mine during Albert's 2001 rookie season from Albert as a sign of appreciation for my friend having helped Albert move his furniture into his apartment. The card has been slabbed as authentic by GAI/Global Authentication Inc. Additionally, the card has been fully certified and authenticated by Albert's first cousin and close friend Wilfirdo Juan Pujols who was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2005. The Pujols Authentic COA signed by "Wil" Pujols will also be included with the card. This card features a rookie year signature just like Alberts Bowman Chrome rookie card is is much more limited as Albert gave this signed card out to very few people from his personal collection of his 2001 Upper Deck rookie cards. Albert may have signed some of these throughout the years but the amount on the market that were actually signed during his rookie year is very limited. The Pujols Authentic COA signed by Wil Pujols specifically defines this as a 2001 style signature and anyone who has studied Alberts signature will be able to tell that this is a vintage rookie year style autograph on the card. The card was signed in bold black sharpie. I also guaranteee that this baseball card will pass full authentication though PSA/DNA.The card and the autograph are both in great condition.I prefer paypal but I will also accept checks and money orders.
