2002 Holy Herd Club Kit Winged Polar Bears Pete Apsit Description The late artist/sculptor, Pete Apsit, created a line of animal figurines for Character Collectibles called Holy Herd. All the occupants of Noah's Ark were represented. Unfortunately, Mr. Apsit died in 1999 and Character Collectibles stopped producing the figures (and marketing them through sales reps) in 2002. I somehow discovered this inventory and am making it available to collectors on ebay. All Holy Herd items are MINT IN BOX. Never displayed, only removed from box for visual inspection. This is a rare opportunity for those collectors out t who have been unable to complete their collection. Perhaps, you have broken a piece and had no means to replace it. Or perhaps one species has been particularly elusive. In this auction you are bidding on the 2002 Holy Herd Collectors Club Kit that was available to members only. Included are Patience and Preston winged polar bears, a three-ring binder, and a Noah pin & watch. (I have no idea if the watch still works.) Polar bears were Mr. Apsit's favorite animal so Character Collectibles created these with beautiful white wings to show the love and constant watch over all by Mr.Apsit.
