2005 South Africa 2-pc Gold K-Rand Treasures of Africa Prf Set This limited edition set was issued by the South African Mint in 2005 to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the discovery of the Cullinan Diamond, the largest diamond in the world at that time.The Krugerrand gets its name from the coin's front image, a head shot of the South African Republic's last president, Paul Kruger.Set Highlights:Contains 1 oz of Gold. Comes in wooden box and with a certificate of authenticity. Obverse: Likeness of Paul Kruger, South Africa's first and only president, along with "South Africa" in Afrikaans and English. Reverse: Along with the year of minting and Gold weight, the image of the national animal of South Africa, a Springbok antelope.Definitely a collector's item.
