This auction is for the 2006-P Ben Franklin commemorative Mint State pair of "Founding Father" and "Scientist" both graded a flawless MS 70 by NGC. The winning bidder will receive the exact 2 coins seen in the photos. These coins are perfect in every detail and highly lustrous. The slabs are scratch-free and in pristine condition. This popular pair will be a valuable addition to any collection. These coins were issued by the U.S. Mint to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Ben Franklin's birthday, Jan. 17, 1706. They were released to the general public on Jan. 17, 2006. Mintages did not come near the 250,000 maximum allowed by law. Ungraded, these coins can retail over $60 each. The obverse of the "Scientist" coin depicts a younger Franklin flying his kite in the famous 1752 electrical experiment.
