This basket is made with maple splints and cherry wood centers on both the base and the lid, along with soft corners and a tight continuous weave. The woven lid is adorned with a decorative knob featuring artwork of interlocking CCs, honoring both Collectors Club and the scrimshaw tradition. Enjoy this American classic in your home.....made in the USA. This basket is a true work of art that you can USE every day. Signed by weaver SK and dated 2006 inside basket topband. Woven lid inner topband signed by weaver BLC and dated 2006. Measures 7.5" Round x 5.75" High with lid. Longaberger Made in the USA and Collectors Club woodburns on inside solid cherry bottom too.

Longaberger baskets are handwoven in Dresden, Ohio. They are woven from maple splints and double splints and reinforcements are used throughout the basket. Made the old fashioned way utilizing wooden splints, metal tacks and copper rivets and wooden dowels to attach swing handles if the basket has one. No tacky glue or staples ! Longaberger baskets are made to be used daily, hold plenty of weight and stay looking lovely for years and generations to come! A true American woven piece of handicraft to be appreciated for years to come!
