"New York's YANKEE STADIUM is one of the most storied ballparks in all of America, with a tradition that spans more than eight decades, and w greats like Babe Ruth, Joe DiMaggio and Yogi Berra made their mark in Major League Baseball history. Now Anheuser-Busch honors this iconic American ballpark with the YANKEE STADIUM Stein. In 1921,the New York Yankees purchased 10 acres of land in the west Bronx, with the intention of building the first triple-deck Major League Baseball ballpark, capable of seating 70,000 fans. Construction began in 1922, and in just 284 working days, the first official Major League Baseball "stadium" was complete. During the Yankees inaugural game against the Boston Red Sox on April 18, 1923, Babe Ruth christened the ballpark with a three-run homer, helping to give YANKEE STADIUM its nickname: "The House That Ruth Built."
