2008 Republic of France 1/4oz Gold Proof €1 0 Euro Coin in excellent Fleur de Coin condition. Struck to commemorate the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (Olympic Games) which were held in Beijing, China during the summer of 2008. The obverse of the coin depicts an Olympic swimmer superimposed over a world globe with the denomination above, date below. The French motto "Liberté - Egalité - Fraternité" appears at the bottom of the obverse. It's reverse design features a diver and oriental screen. The coin comes with the original case, capsule and certificate (No. 465) as issued, all in excellent condition. Low mintage of only 1,000 coins. Struck at the Paris Mint in .920 Gold.
