Catch the SILVER wave on the way up!!! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FYI - IMPORTANT NOTICE - Please read Based on feedback that I have just received from a buyer and feedback from my vendor, it seems the US Mint is using a different tube/roll for Silver Eagles. The new tube/roll looks like the same white/clear tube and green lid, but the tube is LONGER and the coins are fitting in it much looser. The tube appears to be approx 1 coin longer (compared side by side to an older tube) and does allow for coin movement. I am not sure when this took effect as the US Mint has NOT responded to queries about this, but anything I have sent out after Friday, May 1 all seem to be in this newer style. Now 3 deliveries from the Mint to my vendor all have been in this style. Thus, the older style w the coins fit snuggly in the tube with little or no movement are no longer being used. IF you have older style, this new style is a very noticeable difference. This change is strictly based by on the US Mint, NOT the sellers or wholesalers of these products. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This listing is for 1 roll or tube of 20 - 1 ounce 2009 American Silver Eagle Uncirculated coins .999 bullion. These are IN STOCK and will usually ship out the next day after payment, from a fresh green monster box. Buy with confidence from a long time Powerseller with a record that is second to none! Feel free to compare the DSR's. I have to admit last year 2008 was quite the year. Sky rocketing premiums, volatile spot pricing, Mint rationed deliveries, and very limited supply as it seemed demand was off the charts. Or at least that is something I had said, along with many others. Now with the year 2008 out of the way, and some Mint sales numbers tentatively posted, it seems 2008 shows a mintage of 20.5 + million coins. Kind of a bad number for numismatic purposes, but to put it into perspective, the previous high was in 1987 (the 2nd year of the ASE program) with 11,442,335 coins. So does a 9+ million coin blowout increase over the previous indicate what demand is for Silver Eagles these days? 2009 is continuing the 2008 trend - over 8.45 mil coins sold in the first 15 weeks of the new year. (Jan 1.9 mil, Feb 2.125 mil, March 3.132 mil, April 2.518 mil) To put these number into historical perspective, 10.2 mil in 4 months beats every year of the 1990's and running at an average of 567,000 coins sold per week with it increasing every week. At present, 2009's mintage is the 3rd highest of the series barely behind 1987 and just over half the way to beating 2008. At this average, you are looking at over 29 mil coins and an almost 50% increase over 2008 (the new high) and 165% increase over the 20 year high of 1987. Silver is smoking hot! **************************************************************************************** Otherwise, to proactively answer some questions in advance (because I always get them) No, I don't search the rolls. I don't have the time to and it isn't worth it anyway since MS70's are common nowadays and barely pull $100 if that. These are unopened and unsearched. I spend way too much time packing and sitting in a line at the post office to be botd. These are fresh from green monster boxes, they come with no tape or stickers over the lid. I do put a piece of tape over the top for shipping purposes so that the roll doesn't come apart during shipping. If that bothers bothers you, take the tape off. It won't leave any residual paper, unlike those Photoshopped mailing "First Strike" mailing labels that some other 'creative' sellers are promoting. And don't think PCGS, NGC or any grader with First Strike or Early Release those coins if you try to submit them. Anyone can come up wi...
