This is a double stamped and double cancled roll very rare How many of these have you seen??? Up for sale is 1 roll of the New Lincoln Penny released in Hodgenville , Kentucky on February 12, 2009 directly from the Mint. It is uncirculated and has one of the new Lincoln Stamps on it. And it has one of the purple heart stamps on it also This roll has been canceled two times once on each stamp. T w only 1500 or so people present on the 12th. I was one of them. I traveled almost 500 miles each way, to attend this event. Only a small number of us went to the post office to get them postmarked with a Lincoln stamp on it. Since February 12 was Lincoln 's 200th birthday, the post office agreed to postmark the rolls of pennies if you purchased one of the new stamps to put on it. This is a great chance to get a first issuse stamped and postmarked roll. This sale is for 1 roll. The roll that is pictured is the roll you will get if you win this auction.
