For sale is a proof example of the beautiful new 2009 commemorative silver dollar honoring the great president Abraham Lincoln, on the 200th anniversary of his birth. The obverse features a portrait of Lincoln inspired by sculptor Daniel Chester French's statue in the Lincoln Memorial. The reverse depicts the last 43 words of the Gettysburg Address. Included in this auction is the coin in its original capsule, with box, slip cover, and certificate of authenticity. If certified by NGC or PCGS, the coin would almost certainly receive a grade of PR69 or PR70. This coin has potential to greatly increase in value for a number of reasons: 1) The subject is popular.
