This auction is for a beautiful, FLAWLESS example of the 2009 W Margaret Taylor First Spouse Uncirculated 1/2 ounce Gold $10 piece . This coin is NO LONGER AVAILABLE from the United States Mint! Only 3,430 of these coins were sold, making this one of the rarest First Spouse gold pieces. (Source: ) The coin has a FLAWLESS grade of MS 70 from Professional Coin Grading Service, one of the most reputable third-party coin graders. As of May 8, 2011, only 275 of these pieces have received this top grade from PCGS.
The Mint's web site described the coin as follows:

This is the fifth coinreleased in 2009 in the First Spouse Gold Coin Series and features Margaret Taylor, who was the wife of President Zachary Taylor. This coin is a one-half ounce 24-karat gold coin struck in uncirculated condition, giving it a satin-like finish. The obverse features a portrait of Margaret Taylor and the reverse depicts her helping an injured soldier during the Seminole War. This coin is encapsulated and packaged in a custom-designed, highly polished, plush-lined presentation case accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Director of the United States Mint.
