This item for auction is a large scale (1/9 scale or 200MM) which are the same scale. Its titled, " WHEN HELL FREEZES OVER" and depicts a scene from World War 2 in the Eastern front. The time would be Winter 1941/1942. After making great strides in the invasion of Russia the months went by and winter started to set in. The winters in Russia were extremely harsh as the Germans would find out. This scene is of two SS on the Zudlap 750 with sidecar come upon a dead comrade that was wounded the night before and left behind. Over the course of the night the temperature dropped and the snow started. The German soldier died during the night from his wounds and by morning was frozen solid. The morning of the next day the 2 SS found him and I wanted this scene to capture the moment just as they found thier comrade and are in a quiet reflection on the war, the winter, Russia, etc. Maybe they are wondering if this is how they will end up too. This diorama is in large scale 1/9 or 200mm which is the same thing. The figures stand 7.5" tall and the motorcycle measures end to end about 12" long. The can of soda was left in the pictures to gage the size of the soldiers and cycle. The cycle is super detailed right down to even spark plug wires. The cycle was a old ESCI kit in 1/9 scale that is very hard to get now. The figures are Kirin and Verlinden read more
