Another amazing colorful diecut invitation from the Krewe of Rex! is the 2010 Invitation. Rex, founded in 1872, was formed to honor a Russian Duke and has graced the City of new Orleans for over 130 years. This parade is one of the Old Line organizations that still have an annual parade. Rex rolls down stately St. Charles Avenue on Mardi Gras Day. This invitation is in excellent condition and unfolds to reveal some incredible artwork by the School of Design (Rex's artistic arm). Front panel, inner panels and back panel are well illustrated as can be seen by these photos. The 2010 theme is "Fables of Fire and Flame." This would look great framed with 2-sided glass.
