This mask created by artist, Linda Alexander-Radak . Linda is an artist skilled in many mediums. With this work, she has delved into paper sculpture. She has transformed the human face mask into an intricate paper sculpture of an owl with each feather cut, scored and shaped individually, then carefully assembled. This owls eyes are actually taxidermy eyes… adding a wonderful hint of reality to this light and beautiful piece of art. Wired to hang on wall. The mask form she began with is adult face size. This mask is not wearable. The overall size is 11 tall by 6" wide by 5" deep. The Mask Affair is an annual fundraising event from Journey Art Gallery, Canton OH . Each year the gallery gives plain white masks to willing artists to create whatever vision they have for the mask. The artists aren't paid for their time, talent or materials, the mask is their donation to the fundraiser. The show of all the masks opens in Canton Ohio on October 18. All the masks are sold at a fixed price except a few chosen for being exceptional. These extraordinary masks are auctioned here.
