You are bidding on a LGB 2018D Mogul in Excellent, barely used condition. My ex-wife purchased this engine for new in 1987, back when she wasn't my ex-wife. Since then it spent most of it's time in the original box. When it was out of the box it spent most of that time on a mantle for display. I would estimate total running time to be less than 5 hours. Inluded also is the original paperwork and stickers. One sticker is missing, but it was not attached to this train. The 2018D was the first mogul made by L.G.B. The loco in this auction was one of this first 2018D's made. This mogul in excellent condition. Everything works as it should. There is a brand-new smoke generator installed. Two small but mentionable issues: The tender figure is supposed to be holding a log. I don't know if I every had the log, but nonetheless it's not there. Also, the flagposts were both peeling a little, but I found they actually look better black with gold tops. Well my current wife tells me we have to scale back and get rid of our "stuff" - so here it is sadly for sale on eBay. It's not worth losing peace and harmony. Please do not assume anything.
