20th Century Americana Hand Carved Pine Gilted Eagle

We are estate liquidators located in Ohio. We acquired this hand carved (pine) gold gilted Americana Eagle from one of our estates. This eagle measures 43 1/2" wide and is 14" tall. Research on this eagle has told us that this eagle is from the Early 20th century. Unlike most of the others that we have seen or researched, this eagle is in mint condition. Most of the gilting on other eagles is well worn where this one is in mint condition. This eagle was wrapped in tissue paper and then in brown kraft paper and put away back in the 1940's into the owner's attic. The eagle is clutching arrows in one of its claw feet and a sheild in the other. This is a lovely piece of Americana art. This eagle is ready to hang, and it has hanging hardware. Our promise to you is to pack this eagle real well as to not have any shipping damage to it. This eagle weighs a little over 8 lbs.
