* IMPORTANT: Items offered are Authentic, Original, Vintage items from the time period as described below. They were clipped from Actual 1960 newspaper Sunday Comic strip sections. They ARE NOT modern reproductions, copies, photostats or scans. ITEM: Lot of vintage Sunday newspaper comic strips TITLE: ARCHIE by Bob Montana . VINTAGE: 1960. COUNT: 21 different DATES: . 1960 - 2/14, 4/10, 4/17, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/29, 6/5, 7/10, 8/28, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23, 11/6, 11/13, 12/4, 12/11, 12/25, and One Unknown date. SIZE: 19 strips in this Lot were printed in the standard HALF PAGE format. Remaining 2 strips were printed in the standard THIRD PAGE Format ( 5/15, 10/23). [ Please Read the paragraph below which provides Inch Measurements for these various printing Formats.] About Our SCAN: Strips are Larger than our Flatbed Scanner can fully accomodate. We have take a Scan of One of the strips which shows a Majority portion of the strip. We believe this provides the Viewer with a representative look at the Artwork style and the Color & Paperstock Quality of the newspaper Comic Strips being offered in this Lot. The Buyer can REST ASSURED that ALL Strips in this Lot are Fully Complete with Border Margins. CONDITION: Paper exhibits minor Tanning or " age-toning ", a condition innt with older newprint paper. One strip is in Good/Very Good condition. Remaining 120 strips in this Lot are in EXCELLENT or better condition . About Strip SIZES / FORMATS: [ post - 1945 ] - THIRD PAGE Strips measure about 6" x 13 inches. HALF-PAGE Strips measure about 9" x 13 inches. FULL-PAGE Strips measure about 13" x 19 inches. FULL TABLOID Format pages measure about 9" x 13 inches and HALF-TAB Format strips measure about 6" x 9 inches. [ These size parameters can deviate 1/4" up to 1/2 inch depending on the particular newspaper that the strip was printed in.] These are the inch measurements for the artwork panel dimensions. Any Border Margins left outside of the Strip's Panel Artwork is additional to these stated inch measurements.
