This unfinished neck has been very finely sanded but not finished and is ready for you to apply any kind of finish you would like to! With Abalone inlays this is a very well made, high quality neck Our necks feature a Slim/Modern C profile. This is a great all-round shape designed for speed and for comfort. The Fret Size - in this case Medium refers to the size of fret wire used on the neck (not the scale of the neck) with Jumbo being the biggest and widest fret wire (.110" x .055") down to Small (.078" x .043").Jumbo fret wire can provide easier playability with better sustain, tone and bending (because you don't have to press as hard to fret the strings) but your fingers may not touch the fingerboard which may take some getting used to if you are used to small frets.
