Low opening bid is starting below scrap. The necklace, bracelet, cross and ring are definitely not scrap and have value for nice jewelry. The baby earrings are the only items 18K and the rest is 14K.This auction is for 23.15 grams of gold. 1.02 grams (the small earrings) are 18k (they say 750) and are Italian. The earrings belonged to a baby in my sister's husband's Italian family. There is damage on these with some bending and the closure missing as you can see in the photos. These would be for scrap unless you wanted to repair. The cross is in fine shape and also belonged to a child. According to the gold calculator and not taking into account that part of this lot is 18K gold the calculation for scrap is: Weight of Alloy 23.15 Grams - 14.89 Dwts - 0.744 Troy Ozs Alloy Gold of 0.583 Purity Weight of Metal 0.434 Troy Oz of Pure Gold Price Used 1,364.82 USD / Troy Oz Value of Metal 592.29 USD 22.13 is 14K gold. There is a gorgeous vintage 17-1/2" Greek Keys 14K necklace (says 585 and has the jewelers initials engraved) that was bought in Greece about twenty five years ago. It is in excellent condition. Closes securely with a guard. When Juli and I went to Athens for the first time she bought this in a gold shop in the Plaka and never took this off for ten years. In her later years living in Venice she liked to wear the Murano pieces and keep the more valuable jewelry locked up such as this necklace. There is also an 8-1/2" gold bracelet that just needs a clasp repair and is about 30 years old. You could use for scrap or with the closure repair it would make a beautiful bracelet you could wear. There is a small cross, 14K gold wedding band that says on t he inside 3H3 and 14K and is about a size 5-1/2- 6 and a single gold loop earring. If you are the first person to bid on this and win the auction it is free shipping including insurance and tracking and I will also send you 600 photos of Italy that I took while there. The short version is my little sister moved from Texas to Venice, Italy when she was 19, married a Venetian and lived in Venice until she passed away from a brief illness in 2005 over 30 years later. Including many for gold and other jewelry. Juli in her first months in Venice as a nanny to wealthy aristocrats children. Marrying her true love, Paolo. Juli's 2nd true loves...horses. The second picture is the casa di Tintoretto my sister and Paolo bought. The pink and white building to the right was also part of their home and the part they used as an artist studio entertaining and giving refuge to fledgling and new artists from all over the world. Many of these artists are now world renowned and had their humble start here. To this day, even after her death this is a thriving art studio and school. The house itself has been resold.Below are photos I took on two different trips back to Venice. Once when I went ...
