This is a wonderful and rare early Kestner from the 1880's. Her head is marked 9 at the head and 9 at the bottom of the shoulder. Original brown sleep eyes work great. She has a bisque head and shoulders with no cracks, or damage. Quality Kestner bisque with beautiful peaches and cream complexion with rosy cheeks and closed pouty mouth. Painted upper and lower lashes, stacked brows. She is on her original leather body with cloth legs (one leg has a cloth repair). Her bisque arms and hands have no broken fingers, etc. Her leather arms have been sewn at the shoulder (see pictures). Her lace dress is fabulous, I don't see any stains or holes and her wig is human hair. Has antique slip.
