You are bidding on a set of 24 American Flyer 26693 Track Locks made from 195 7 to 1960, and again in 1964 . These locks keepyour track from separating as the train travels around the track. They are especially useful when you have a temporary layout and can't nail the tracks down (like around the Christmas tree or on a set of trestles). #26693 Locks are usually the later-model narrow ones, but these are the original wide ones (apparently leftover inventory when Gilbert converted to 5-digit numbering in 1957). I see no rust on any of them, which is very unusual for these! The 2012 TM Price Guide lists them at $ 14 in C-7 condition but I've sold a bunch of these and they generally sell in excess of $20 - one set sold for over $50! They come in an original envelope stamped "26" which means it originally contained 26 track locks. That's odd since they came to me in a collection with a set of 24 trestles (see separate auction). Gilbert sets that contained trestles usually came with a set of 24 Track Locks. This item is being sold with no reserve. To avoid putting California bidders at a disadvantage, I pay sales tax out of the proceeds of all my sales; I consider
