Submitted for your consideration is a full-leather CDV album with twenty-four (24) photographs (23 different CDVs; 24 total). They are all from just one family; the Swifts of Wilmington, Delaware.
Many of these photos are ID'd and/or dated, either on the reverse side, or at the bottom of the respective album page. William Henry Swift and Eliza Clewlow Lewis (Grubb) Swift were married on September 10th of 1863 at St Marks Church in Philadelphia, Pa. They would have four (4) beautiful children; two boys and two girls.
William H Swift started a match company, which eventually became part of the same Diamond Match Company that is still doing a healthy business today. It appears Mr Swift did pretty well for himself.
