From the Elf's Cupboards we are pleased to offer 24 peices of grape pattern silverware in Moselle, Vintage, LaVigne and LaConcorde A product of the Art Nouveau or Jugenstil period, the grape patterns of the early 20th century are loved for their ornately stylized depiction of grape clusters, leaves, vines and tendrils. A symbol of festive appeal the fruit of the vine offers nourishment for the body and soul. Offered in this auction are the following -- (sizes are approximate) 1881 Rogers LaVigne 1908 1 Pickle Fork - 8 1/4 inches (very good to near Mint) Wm A Rogers LaConcorde 1910 1 Ladle - 7 inches (near mint) 1 Meat Fork - 8 1/4 inches (near mint) 1 Twisted Master Butter Knife 7 1/4 (very good) 1 Sugar Spoon - 6 inches (very good to NM) 5 Serving Spoons - 8 inches (good, some heel wear but nice) 3 Teaspoons - 6 inches (good, heel wear and use scratches) 6 Dinner Forks - 7 1/4 inches (good to very good, some heel wear) 1847 Rogers Vintage (1904) 1 Serving Spoon 8 1/4 inches, monogrammed with 'K' (good condition with some heel wear and use scratches) American Silver Company Moselle (1906) 3 Moselle serving spoons - 8 inches (heel wear/bowl scratches/usable) 2 Moselle teaspoons - 6 inches (heel wear/bowl scratches/usable) This is a lovely start to an eclectic grape collection, or a great opportunity fill out an existing grouping. Many of the pieces are in near mint condition, others show the signs of use. All still have life in them be it for everyday or part of your special occasion flatware. Remember this silverplate is vintage, it will not look new, nor should it. These wonderful pieces have led full lives before coming to us. Some of the pieces have traveled a rougher road than others, but that journey adds to its history and charm. If you want perfection, this is not the auction for you. Shipping and handling will be a flat fee of 10.00. We accept paypal and request payment be received within 24 hours of auction close.
