The HIJMS Hiryu (Flying Dragon) was an aircraft carrier completed during the 1930s for the Imperial Japanese Navy. The Hiryu was the sister ship of Soryu. The Hiryu part of Carrier 1st Air Fleet, that along with five other carriers attacked Pearl Harbor. This model of the Hiryu is made by GHQ and is 1/2400 scale* and made of pewter. The detail on this GHQ model are great. There is a photo of her wearing these deck markings during the Battle of Midway Her deck markings are excellent. She carries Japanese aircraft on her flight deck. The aircraft are painted Imperial Navy Gray or Imperial Navy Green. The ship is painted Imperial Navy gray. She has been given several finish coats to protect the paint. This ship will look great as part of your fleet. *One inch equals 200 actual feet. Have questions, please ask. .
