Up for Sale is a 2466WX Tender from 1947 - 1948 This tender would have come with a 1666 in early 1947, a 2025 in 1947, or a 675 in 1947 based on the coupler and the metal whistle. I disassembled the entire tender, cleaned everything, oiled the whistle motor, and replaced the rotten wires going to the roller pick-ups. The whistle works on demand but I do not think it sounds as good as the later plastic whistle motor tenders. The coil coupler is not working and I think there must be a short somewhere in the coil. I think the tender is a VG with some paint chips on it. However, the chips are not very noticeable since the body was molded in black plastic. The drawbar has some light surface rust on it. I've always tried to pick up loose tenders as they seem harder to find than loose engines. I'm going to be listing lots of steam engines and tenders over the next few weeks that I have serviced and that are ready to run. I ask that you contribute $10 towards priority mail shipping. I will cover the rest as I am pretty certain it will be more than $10 based on the heavy weight of the metal whistle. Thanks and email me with questions.
