25` (64 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with very full cheeks, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eye liner, lushly painted lashes, widely arched brush stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, mauve blushed eye shadow, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent, undergarments dusty, original silk dress has some fraility and repairs. Marks: Depose E 11 J. Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884. Value Points: splendid beauty of the large early bebe with perfectly sculpted features enhanced by luminous bisque, original body and body finish, with original Jumeau chemise, undergarments, silk dress, socks, and tan leather shoes with maroon rosettes marked `E. Jumeau Med d`Or Paris 11`.
