SHE. [China Postage Stamps]. Estate lot of 255+ Chinese stamps, including Imperial Chinese Post, Chinese Junks, Air Mail, Dues, overprints, varieties, and regional issues from the WWII - 1949 era. (There will be some duplication, especially among the earliest issues from 1900 - 1920s). Most of the stamps are mounted on pages with hinges. The former owner / collector has identified most of the stamps using "Scott's China Catalog." Not all stamps are identified with catalog numbers. Stamps are in USED and UNUSED condition, but nearly all are hinged to pages or have hinge marks on their backs.

I am NOT an expert on Chinese stamps, so I have used the former owner's information in describing this lot. SEE PICTURES!! You will also note that some pages have had stamps removed from the page - this event happened before I purchased the lot. All stamps in my Pictures or described in this listing will be mailed to the winning bidder.

* The earliest identified stamps are Chinese Imperial Post issues of circa 1900 - 1906 and the 1900s Chinese Junks, etc. (Some of the catalog numbers are 113, 118, 149, 166, 165, 284, 324, 236, 226, 150, 153, 276, 339-40, 280,251, 258, 257, etc.) I counted approximately 50 stamps in this early period.
* Four Air Mail stamps (C-11, C-63, C-64, and C-61).
* Numerous 1920s to 1930s issues.
* Three Manchuko stamps, not identified with catalog numbers.
* Three Yunnan Province (6, 51, and 55).
* Manchuria (6).
* Sinkiang (170).
* Five North East China (IL-63, IL-121, IL-133, IL-136, IL-163).
* Two North China (8N4 and 3L99). * Eight Northeastern Provinces (7, 8, 9, 11, 15, 25, 78, and J-8).
* Fourteen unused East China. All are mounted to the page using hinges. (5L22, 5L24, 5L27, 5L35, 5L62-63, 5L77, 5L 86, 5L88, etc. )
* Three Central China (6L37, 6L43,and 6L45).
* Three South China (7L1, 7L2, 7L4). These 3 stamps are imperforates and unused. Mounted to page with hinges.
* Included are 15 to 20 used stamps of Taiwan / Formosa.

CONDITION : SOLD AS IS. SEE PICTURES. There are a few stamps with "pulled" or short perforations. I noticed a couple of stamps with missing perforations and edge nicks. A few stamps have foxing or brownish tropical toning spots. Probably not any Great Rarities, but overall, a nice clean lot of China stamps in Very Good+ condition.

All books and paper memorabilia mailed in the USA are protected by a moisture seal, bubble wrap, and they are packaged in a CARDBOARD CARTON for added protection. ALL postcards, vintage paper items and historical memorabilia are packaged between stiff cardboard or placed inside hard plastic cases for added protection.
