Today we are pleased to offer this very rare cane from 1892. As you can see the top has the bust of Ulysses S. Grant in relief. The side states 26th annual encampment G.A.R. Sept. 20th 1892 Washington DC. The other side if I am guessing correct is the G.A. R. emblem. Above the eagle is the makers date of Aug. 22, 92. Overall this cane is in very good condition with no breaks. The tip is a little loose, but still intact, and will not come off. The handle appears to be made from pewter. Apparently this is a rare piece of history, for I have tried to find this cane on ebay, and on internet sites devoted to civil war and Grant collectables for quite some time. I have yet to locate one anyw else. Anyway, it is. Finally for sale on ebay. Starting at .95 cents with no reserve. Good Luck
