Large Officer Lot named to Captain W. N. Lincoln 26th Canadian Horse Light Dragoons (Stanstead Dragoons), with some evidence that Lincoln also served in the 13th Scottish Light Dragoons. This is a big lot fresh out of a trunk in Northern Vermont. Red tunic with buttons of the Canadian Horse Light Dragoons, chain mail shoulder scales with enamelled Officer devices, trousers, dress boots with spurs affixed, leather gaiters, Officer's hat with CHLD device, name on sweatband. Field service tunic (also with chain mail scales) with pith helmet (has spike plus removable field service vent cover), trousers, high boots, Sam Browne belt with Officer's whistle. two sets of spurs. Books; "26th Canadian Horse Rules for Vedettes", "Stable Management" and "The King's Regulations and Orders for Canadian Militia 1910". Other bits include, ramrod swagger stick, excellent cavalry leadline, leather cuffs, field cover for the dress hat, yellow cloth flap for a busby, red and black horsehair replacement tufts for helmets, a leather device for strapping a saber to the saddle harness dated 1898, various leather straps and bits, several buttons of the 13th Scottish Dragoons and a good bullion patch for a hat of the 13th Scottish. This is a great WWI era officer's lot, worthy of research. Uniforms are a bit soiled, everything for the most part shows signs of being worn, both tunics have some mothing, the field tunic a bit more than the dress tunic. A slight push to the rear of the pith helmet but not bad, I thinkcould be easily reformed. Feel free to email with any questions.
