Have you ever listed a doll on E-bay, then fallen in love with her all over again? Well, this happened to me last week when I listed this doll. Although there were many watchers, no one had bid on her, so I took her down. This time, I will not change my mind and take her down early... I hope. This doll was the childhood doll of an older woman who wasan antique collector in Birmingham, Alabama. She had it displayed in her shop for years and years. People would ask her to sell it, butshe never would. It was bought at an auction by a dear friend of hers, a few years after she passed away. I bought this doll from the friend. Her eyes open and close easily, as well as move side to side when you tilt her head ("flirty" eyes"). Her lashes are full. She is a prototype, one of the very earliest dolls produced, so she does not have any markings on her neck or back. She has not had any touch-ups that I can see and her wig is original (a little matted on the top). Her stringing is a little loose. She has some light crazing on her face, but you have to get up very close to see it. The rest of her body is in excellent shape, except for the lower problems shown read more
