This collection contains,on Scott International pages, over 2600 stamps from Russia, and about 100 from various related countries, most used or canceled to order and relatively common. Also included are over 100 stamps that are loose or in dealer display pages, most by far from Russia. There is some light duplication. On the Russia pages, which run from inception into 1978,are about 70 issues to 1939 (most in the early 1900s), 200+ from the 40s, 200+ from the 50s, 1200+ from the 60s and about 850 from the 70s, with about 75 from the back of the book. The spaces for regular postage from 1963 through 1978 are well over 90% filled. The related areas include Estonia (7), Georgia (8), Latvia (14),Lithuania (21), Central Lithuania (5), Tannu Tuva (2), Ukraine (34) and White Russia (10), with apparent duplicates not counted. The pages are in good shape on the whole, but some olderpages have clearly seen use. A page in the 1950s and one in Offices in China have some brown staining. A few older pages have their holes "stretched" and a few have had their holes reinforced. The pages come from different printings, so type font and paper color can vary somewhat. I believe all are present for the period, but cannot guarantee it. Plastic interleaves are between most pages where there are stamps on facing pages. A few items may have minor faults; I did not see any with majorfaults, though a few could have escaped notice.
