*We are offering FREE INSURANCE on this set!Here is an absolutely stunning rare 28 piece mid century modern Rosenthal china set designed by Raymond Leowy in the late 40's!Very modernist and minimal with clean lines and forms. Gorgeous subtle details like the black circles in the center of the saucers and the forked handles on the cups and teapot. All the pieces are labeled "Form E" at the bottom except for the 3 white teardrop-shaped serving dishes and the one bonus orange one. Here is what's in this set: 1 teapot (6" high x 6.25" wide from handle to mouth) 6 cups (2.25" high x 2.25" diameter) 6 saucers (5" diameter) 6 appetizer plates (6.25" diameter) 6 teardrop-shaped serving or condiment dishes, 3 black & 3 white (2.25" wide x 5 3/8" long) 1 creamer (2" high x 4.25" wide from handle to mouth) 1 lidded bowl, for sugar perhaps (2.5" high x 2.75" diameter) 1 BONUS teardrop-shaped orange dish, same dimensions as the other 6. Total count including the orange dish is 28. This set is very clean with no stains but a few pieces show some wear. One white teardrop dish has one chip on the rim and one chip on the bottom.
