Up for auction is this big antique Handwerck #109 doll made in Germany. I shined a light into her head and there are no cracks, chips or repair. There were two wig pulls (see picture). Creamy bisque with feathered brows, brown antique sleep eyes, beautiful outlined mouth,open mouth with four teeth, dimple in her chin and pierced ears (only one earring). Her head circumference is 15". Her wig is a replacement and she still retains some of her plaster pate. The antique dress is fabulous with lace insertion on the sleeves and around the waist, lace edging around the neck and the bottom of the sleeves. There are no stains or holes in the dress which has antique buttons up the back. It is tied with a very pale green silk ribbon around the waist. Antique slip and pantaloons with antique lace edging. Kid leather replaced shoes trimmed in satin that button at the ankle. The ball jointed antique composition body retains the original finish, is strung tight and in very good condition.
