This doll really makes a statement. She is a lovely French doll by F.Gaultier. Her mark is in the scroll with the letters F.G. She has the size number 11 down low on her neck. Her bisque has no damage or repairs. There is a small mold mark low on one cheek done in the making and a small mold line behind one ear. These are acceptable in old dolls and do not affect the value. The body is original but was probably restained many years ago. The hands have a few repaired fingers and have been repainted, also long ago. She has earrings and her original cork pate. The gorgeous mohair wig is a replacement similar in color to the original which was eaten by moths. She had a replaced synthetic wig which the new mohair replaced. She has the bulgy paperweight eyes that are so beautiful and a wonderfully painted closed mouth. Her fat cheeks are sweet too. The dress may be original but I doubt it. It is very pretty with lots of inset lace and fits the era. The undies probably are original. The shoes may be but again I doubt it. They are very appropriate with the outfit. This doll books for over 4500.00 to 5200.00 so my price is a bargain. She will be properly insured by the buyer. I will ship her by guaranteed mail which is the best and least expensive for a doll of this price. I won't be able to give exact shipping cost until I have her packed and know the zip. Probably the shipping cost will be about 50.00 .I have many more pictures so email for them. Please ask for Gaultier on disk 16. Thanks so much. Ebay distorts the pictures and this doll has beautiful clear bisque. Send for the pictures or go to the site where you can see her more clearly.
