Numerous graceful emerald green color gem crystals! Rough without treatment!
The listed emerald specimen has an excellent deep emerald green, and they are more than translucent. On one side of the mineral specimen, t are some emerald crystals inserted in the quartzite rock. The crystals are clearly hexagonal system but do not show terminations. And the crystals are hexahedral prismatic in shape with obvious vitreous luster when hold up to the light.
Background Information:
Beryl is one of the most important gem minerals. Emerald is the green variety and Aquamarine is the blue variety of beryl.
As we know, uncut emerald specimens are rare on the mineral markets, probably because even low grade emeralds can carry a high price when cut as gems. The pure green emerald is "king of gem".
