No Reserve. This form is a consolidated morning report for the First Brigade 2nd Cav. Div, DWVa, under the command of Medal of Honor winner Col. J. M. Shoonmaker. The form measures 31" x 10.50" and is folded in 4th vertically and in 3rd horizontally, good condition with only minor tears at some of the folded areas. Legible and clean. If you print the photos out, you should be able to read it in it's entirety. I do not know if the signature is actually of Col. Schoonmaker or an Aide, as I understand that Aides often signed in lieu of Commanding Officers. It is interesting...and shows that the more things change, the more they stay the same, as he lists that they lost some men due to lack of horses, not having Arms & Equipment, or because of the lack of serviceable horses, which in the Cavalry, seems like a "must".The following Source: Slease, William, Rev.
