Ireland, Its Scenery, Character, &C. Mr & Mrs. S. C. Hall. Hall, Virtue and Co, London. Half-Leather. New Edition. Not dated but probably c1843. Vols II and III of a 3 Volume Set. FILLED with illustrations of various characters and places in Ireland, including both in text and full page steel tissue-guarded engravings. Also many detailed county and other maps (all HAND COLORED!) of various regions of Ireland. Some spotting and light staining within. All edges shining gilt. Raised bands on spine with gilt accents and titling. All 4 covers are neatly detached. Spine covers are also a bit damaged but are about 90% complete and in need of a bit of TLC to be properly restored (please note before bidding); interior complete, bound tight and breathtaking in details. Former owner bookplate, William C. Hall (possibly related to authors!) on inside cover. RARE, and has sold upwards of 1000$!!!
