2x Industrial Research Products (IRP) DE-4013A Voice-Matic 12+12 input mic mixer Greetings, You are looking at 2 Industrial Research Products Inc (IRP) DE-4013A Voice-Matic (voice operated) microphone mixers, one as a master unit, other as a slave unit. Each unit has 12 microphone (XLR-3) inputs for a total of 24 inputs. The DB9 link cable is included. Because one unit has the Master Level Module and the other does not, the one without has to be used with the one that does, which is why they are offered as a pair. This system is used in situations where it's desired to have only active microphones on a a given time. Examples would be a board room, church, distance learning classroom, etc. Besides the usual volume control for each mic, plus the master control volume, a threshold control for each mic is set to determine at which volume to activate a microphone. The idea being only when someone is talking does his/her mic automatically turn on, leaving the others muted to reduce background noise. Whenever somebody talks, and it doesn't matter how many talk at once, the mic unmutes until they stop talking. Each microphone has a bypass switch to allow constant activation if desired. There is also a master bypass switch on the master control module. System has been fully tested and is in full working order. Included are 12x DE202 dual microphone modules, total 24 inputs, XLR-3 balanced low impedance (LoZ). 4x spare DE202 mic modules, 2 working and 2 non-working (extra knobs, switches, etc.) unless the buyer doesn’t want them. After all, what am I going to do with them! 1x DE201 Master Level Module with LED output meter. 2x DE205 Regulated power supply. Plexiglass covers, see photos with and without covers. Output is balanced 600 ohm or 150 ohm screw terminals. A link on each unit accepts DB9 connector to tie the two units. together, cable supplied. Power from 120 VAC @ 24 watts ea., 48 watts total. No owners manual, I can't find one. It is pretty straight forward how it operates, everything is well labeled. FWIW, IRP is a division of Knowles Electronics.
