This is my 212 cab constructed of 16 mm birch ply being sold unloaded. The cab design is based on an Orange 212 cab spec, it is made from the recommended 16 mm Baltic birch ply, the reasoning behind using this wood is the further the north you go the slower trees grow so the tighter the grain of the wood, this increases the tone of the cab with all the top end cabinets being made out of this wood. The joints are dovetailed and glued with the internal batons being a mix of pine and ash. This cab has been designed to work as either an open or close backed cab giving you more choice in setting up the tone/sound you want, a design that is unique in cabs. The cab has been wired in series and has been switchable between one 16 ohm input using both speakers or two 8 ohm inputs separating the speakers but obviously any new wiring to the speakers would be down to the new owner, on the back of the cab is 3 inputs and one switch. The cab is finished in Fender rough brown tolex with Fender grill cloth and has a unique ash trim to finish the look. The corners, feet and hard wearing metal handles are in black. I have played through this cab using a 5w Epiphone valve jr and a hollow body guitar, it sounds seriously good responding to the speakers brilliantly.
