Item Photos DESCRIPTION Offered with NO RESERVE and starting at our usual low price are these 2 lovely porcelain plates produced by MEISSEN in quality porcelain and superbly HAND PAINTED with colourful flowers and butterflies/insects. SIZE - Pictures are MAGNIFIED to show detail, so please judge size by measurements as, when enlarged, these will look larger than they actually are Each measures approximately 7 3/4 inches (19.7cms) in diameter - a dessert plate size, but just very slightly smaller than the other pair of plates we have on auction at the moment. CONDITION IS EXCELLENT although with signs of use to the gilding and a very small manufacturing flaw to the rim of the plate with the little sprigs (see LAST picture, but please remember this is HIGHLY magnified and it really is very tiny and difficult to see and, in fact, obviously passed through Meissen's quality control as 1st grade). There are NO CHIPS, CRACKS, REPAIRS, RESTORATION ETC The vulnerable gilding has some wear in places as can be seen in the pictures. MAKER'S MARK Each is marked as pictured. Apart from the crossed swords (no score through these, so not seconds) one has a little handpainted '62' by the footrim (I think this will be either the painter's number or the pattern number) and an impressed 4 and 22.
