Each tile measures 4.25 inches by 4.25 inches. They are marked "I. T. Co. B. N. Y." for International Tile Company, Brooklyn, New York. The dragon-headed acanthus-leaf swirl design is under a moss-green transparent glaze. The same design is in the permanent collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art. T is a small bruise to the glaze on the highest point of a small leaf on one tile (see photos) and two or three areas on the highest points of the leaves w the glaze flowed off during firing on another. The third is in very good condition. The tiles appear to have been installed in mortar at some point, but none were chipped or cracked when they were removed.
