Group of 3 demitasse cups or small mugs, "Yosemite" pattern, in brown transfer. The pattern combines Asian and aesthetic period motifs with a country setting, featuring a church spire and 2 figures, one child and one adult, possibly a village priest.Dimensions of each cup: about 2-3/8" diameter x 2-1/4" high x 3" wide. The pieces have a transfer printed registry mark, over which arches the pattern name, "YOSEMITE." This pattern was produced by T & R Boote in England. The time of manufacture was most likely between the years of 1890 and 1906, the period when other pieces in this pattern were produced. The registry mark identifies the pattern as having been created 13 November 1870. T is also a printed quatrefoil on the underside of each cup.The pieces vary in condition. At least one cup has clean overall crazing, but the others do not appear to have crazing. One cup has a wide but shallow chip at the upper edge (see photos), and another has two small chips, one on the inside and one on the outside, both at the top edge. The third cup has no signs of damage that I can find. Please have a look at the photos ask any questions before bidding.
