This Bakelite stretchy is a stunner! This is a piece that I purchased at the huge Bouckville/Madison antique show in Upstate New York. I have found many Bakelite goodies at that show over the years! This stretchy is made up of three rows of red, yellow, and butterscotch beads. T are three red bar shaped spacers that connect the beads together. The entire bracelet is strung on stretchy elastic; the elastic is quite solid and I will leave it up to the high bidder to re-stretch if desired. The three colors put together on this bracelet are very Art Deco! The beads measure just a bit under 1/2" in diameter. The red connector bars are 1-1/2" long by ½" wide, and they are 3/16" thick. The inner diameter of the bracelet is 2-1/4", and it will stretch to fit any size hand or wrist. This is a great bracelet for Bakelite lovers who have a hard time fitting into bangles! All of the elements of this bracelet are in super condition, with no chips, cracks, fractures, burn marks, or hot pin marks. I cleaned this entire bracelet up with Simichrome after I bought it (yes, every single bead!) and I guarantee the entire bracelet to be vintage Bakelite (phenol formaldehyde or phenolic resin). I also did the hot water test just to be sure, and it passes with flying colors- the phenolic smell is very strong! For more info on Bakelite testing facts and read more
