Up for auction are 3 postcards featuring small houses constructed of unusual discarded items in the mining town of Tonopah, Nevada, early 1900s. The homes were made from empty coal oil cans, large wooden barrels, and beer bottles. 2 of the cards are postally used, postmarked 1907, one is not used. In overall good condition - the card with the barrel house is creased down the middle, but the image does not seem to be impacted. All 3 cards published by Edward H. Mitchell. Buyer pays $1.50 shipping and handling in the US.
