Mason Cash & Co is a ceramics manufacturing company based in Nottingham, England, and is a part of The Tabletop Group. They make (and have made for many years) earthenware mixing bowls and baking ware. Their traditional colors are a white interior glaze with a light brown exterior glaze and a diamond texture on the exterior. This range is known as "yellow ware" or Meashamware, despite not being produced in Measham. The color comes from the natural color of the area's clay. Prior to incorporation as a limited company, the pottery was established at Church Gresley around 1800, with master potter "Bossy" Mason taking over towards the end of the 19th century. Tom Cash purchased the pottery in 1901 and gave it the name Mason Cash & Co. , a name still used when his son incorporated the company in 1941. During the 1930s and 1940s, Mason Cash expanded their product line to include petware, such as feeding and water bowls for dogs and cats. In December 2001, Mason Cash purchased their neighbor, T. G. Green, and worked to revive that pottery's Cornish Blue kitchenware line. The Tabletop Company purchased Mason Cash in April 2004, thus forming The Tabletop Group. They continue to manufacture kitchen and pet ceramics in the UK under the Mason Cash and T. G. Green names. These three 4 ½" mixing bowls each have a different interior glaze with a light brown exterior glaze that has the traditional embossed diamond texture. Each bowl stands 2 ½" tall. The three interior colors include: turquoise, cobalt blue and yellow (or natural). All three bowls are in excellent condition with two of the bowls having roughness on the base collar. (Please see pictures.) The base of each bowl is embossed with the wording: Quality English Ceramic / Mason Cash. Please email with questions or comments.
