THREE ORIGINAL PRESIDENT LBJ INVITATIONS TO WHITE HOUSE RECEPTIONS FEBRUARY 18, 1964 OCTOBER 7, 1965 FEBRUARY 23, 1967 In addition to the invitations, this auction also contains two of the original envelopes, sent to Hon. and Mrs. Jamie L. Whitten; House of Represenatives. It also contains an R.S.V.P. card, an entrance pass, an original parking pass and other items (all pictured below). The first invitation states the following: The President and Mrs. Johnson request the pleasure of the company of Mr. and Mrs. Whitten at a reception to be held at The White House on Thursday evening, October, 7, 1965 at 7:30o'clock. South Lawn. The second invitation states the following: The President and Mrs. Johnson request the pleasure of the company of Mr. and Mrs. Whitten on Tuesday, February 18, 1964 at six o'clock. The third invitation states the following: The President and Mrs. Johnson request the pleasure of the company of Mr. and Mrs. Whitten on Thursday, February 23, 1967 at 5:45 o'clock. The October 7 invitation is in very good condition. It measures 6 1/4" X 4 1/4". It has a couple of very small rust spots on the bottom from the paper clip that was used to hold the documents together. The February 23 invitation is also in excellent condition.
