Grindley Argyle Flow Blue Tureen & Cov.Vegs. Offered is a magnificent 3-piece set of Flow Blue in the Argyle pattern from W.H.Grindley, ca. 1896. ~Soup Tureen measures 11-1/2" from handle to handle, 8-1/2"-9" wide (due to shape) and approx. 4" tall without the lid. The lid measures 10-1/4" long and 9"-9-1/2" wide. The tureen measures approx. 6-1/2" tall with the lid. ~Round Covered Vegetable measures 10" from handle to handle. Lid measures 8-1/2" x 9". Bowl is 8" x 8-1/2" & is 3" high w/o lid and 5" high with lid ~Oval Covered Vegetable measures 11" from handle to handle. Lid measures 7-1/2" x 9-1/2" and bowl is 7" x 9-1/4". It is 2-3/4" high w/o lid and approx. 5" high with lid. These rare examples of the finest Grindley china are in fantastic condition with no chips, cracks, dings, crazing or repairs. The Flow Blue color is vibrant with perfect glazing and all the gold trim is intact with no losses. An identical Flow Blue tureen in the Argyle pattern from Grindley sold recently on eBay for over $1500.
