This is an auction for three souvenir pieces from an Alaska cruise aboard ships of the Alaska Steamship Co. - The Alaska Line. The first two items are Breakfast menus from the S.S. Haleakala. One is from September 1, 1934 and the second is from September 14, 1934. These card type menus measure about 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" and both have b/w photos on the reverse side. One features Skagway And Lynn Canal and the other features The Loop At Mile 50 On The Alaska Railroad. Both show very light wear and neither has any damage. The third item is also an Alaska Steamship Co. souvenir. This is a round brochure / guide entitled "My Alaska Cruise". It measures about 7" across. Inside are first eleven round pages that introduce the reader to Alaska and then discusses features of The Alaska Line cruise that you would have been on. Following that descriptive text are 10 round pages that have b/w photos of Alaska sights, Native people, and shipboard scenes along the top and borttom edges with lines printed in between to allow the traveler to keep notes of their voyage. Attached to the last round page is a two-sided fold out map of the coast of British Columbia, Canada and Alaska. T are five panels on each side. Eight of these contain the maps and two contain more information ("Characteristics") about the area of the cruise. Fully unfolded, this map measures about 4" by 23". This brochure is in very good condition with light soiling to the cover, good inside pages, and a nice map with only a very slight tear along one fold line. Although this brochure / guide is not dated, it certainly appears to also be from the same period as the menus - the 1930s. Together, these three pieces make a nice souvenir grouping from Alaska Line cruising as it was over 70 years ago. Winning bidder to add $2.50 s/h to the U.S. or $3.00 to Canada for protected packaging. I accept cashiers check/money order, personal check (which may delay mailing slightly), or Paypal payment. Postage will be adjusted for winners of multiple auctions. Thank you for looking and Good Luck!
