FREE SHIPPING We have gone through our inventory and found all of the remaining Pure Oil Company service stations known internally as the "Big One's". Do not know how the cities and sites were selected, but the facilities that were built were huge by the standards of the time. Multi bays, islands, large canopies and sales areas. Whenever one of these sites opened, it was a big event both within Pure Oil and the local community. We have four (4) sites and will list all of them at the same time. The sites are located at: Marion, OH - State and Center Streets Rome, GA - North Broad and Turner McCall Boulevard Lakeland, FL - Florida and Cresap Miami Beach, FL - South Collins and 185th This auction is for the Marion, OH location. Two (2) - 8 X 10 black and white one (1) - 8 X 10 night color photo. Between the three (3) photos, the back of them have the date (1964 no month or day) and the address. One of the black and white photos has "file" written on it in some sort of red pencil that may or may not come off. The second black and white photo is taken from virtually the same angle as the first, but it does not have the vehicles, banners, etc. of the Grand Opening. The color photo is really something as it was taken at night from the same angle with all of the lights on. Photos are in excellent condition. Would make a great read more
